goodbye summer...it's been fun

I had so much fun with this awesome family soaking up the last bits of summer.

The C Family

 

I have this friend that I kind of adore! The kind of friend that you can cry or laugh with. Lean on or get a kick in the butt from. Loves you with or without your make-up on. Will give you advice or help you clean up your mess. ;) The kind of friend that knows you inside and out and loves you all the same for it.

 

I recently had a chance to go visit her and her adorable family for a few days. The miles between us are long right now, but I know this in not a forever thing. My heart won't allow that! ;)

 

I was so honored and excited when Jen asked if I would do their family photos while I was there. I was all over that!! And then when she said that she wanted to try out a local tractor graveyard I got even more excited!

 

All I can say is that one man's trash really is another man's treasure! Beat up tractors have never looked so good!!!

 

Thanks for such a fun visit you guys!!!

back to school...not sure I'm ready

A new school year at a new school.

 

New friends to make.

 

 New adventures to be had.

 

 New memories to be made.

 

My youngest started school. I'm not sure that I'm quite ready for it, but I think they are.

 

I'm lucky that my kiddos go to an amazing school!!

 

 And so with that I say "cheers to a great school year!!" 

 



 

 

 

Christian and Chloe,

 I pray that you have an amazing school year. Soak up all that your teachers throw your way. Know that they love and care for you. Make lots of friends and be a friend to all you meet. Be kind. Be forgiving. Give 100% in all you do. Ask lots of questions. Most of all just be YOU!! Because you are some amazing kids and I am so proud to be your mom. Go take on this thing called school and know that mom and dad are always here to help, support and back you up.

This day was bitter sweet for me.

 

Sweet in every possible wedding day way. So much love, friendship and details went into this amazing day. And the fact that I adore this family was just icing on the cake.

 

Bitter in the sense that this will be my last wedding for now. I am taking a break from them for a bit and deciding if this is the right path for me to be on. ;) But what a way to end it...with a sweet couple that I just love!!

 

Congrats you two....thanks for letting us be part of your beautiful day.

Jared and Haley were married in the gorgeous San Diego LDS Temple. And although we didn't have the amazing blue skies this day, we had nice cool cloud coverage and I'll take that any day.

 

 

 

 

Before heading to the reception we were able to sneak off to cliffs of La Jolla Cove for a few quick shots.
