Thanks to everyone who took my poll in the previous post. :) Looks like it was unanimous....you like it brighter! I admit, I do most of the time also, but sometimes I tone it down depending on the mood. :) Also, I fear looking too "fake" sometimes.
So keep visiting me and spreading the love...I really do appreciate you!! xoxo
And now for some bright, cheery goodness....I just loved him!

take my poll...
So I've been playing a bit and just can't decide what I like better sometimes. Do I like things bright and colorful or a bit more neutral?? I know that it sometimes depends on the session as far as location goes, but what do you think? I don't want my brighter more colorful pics to be outdated in a few years where the neutral pics have more of a classic feel.
I really need your opinion!
brighter and more colorful...

or more neutral and classic...

the bump
Our friends Cathy and Steve are expected their first child in just a few short weeks and we are all so excited for them. When Cathy asked my to take some maternity pictures for her my first thought was, "oh no, no way!" You see, I don't have much experience is this area and was a bit nervous, but I have to practice some time right and what better way than with a friend.
So we headed out on our adventure. The weather this day was so weird and we thought for sure it was gonna rain any minute. We got a few drops, but that was all. :) Then we kept waiting for a coyote to jump out of the bushes and eat us for sure. I was disappointed though because I was counting on some yummy light in our location, oh well, we can't always get everything we want I guess! :)
Cathy thanks for the fun and being such a good sport. I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to meet baby boy. Yes, pictures will be coming once he arrives! :)

the blur...
That's my nickname for this little cutie pie. He was so quick that all I saw from him most of the time was a blur of color zipping by me. :) He sure gave me, mom and dad a good workout. Really, I haven't sweat that hard in a long time (ok, the heat and humidity didn't help the cause). :)
I do have to admit that he had the cutest little run that I have ever seen! No joke!!
Landin (and mom & dad) thanks for the fun and the workout. I know that 2 years old is gonna be a blast for you!

It all comes together
I pulled up and saw the outfits that my clients had picked for their photos (and was excited), then I met them and was charmed by the two smallest ones from the start...I knew this was gonna be a good time. What I didn't know was just how great it would be!
These kiddos were either prepped really well or just dolls by nature. I tend to think the doll option myself! :) They did anything I asked and without and grief...a dream come true really. What a sweet family!
This makes it all the more of a great session because mom was a bit nervous for the shoot. You see, it's been quite a while since they have had family pictures taken. And to me it was pretty close to perfect! See Cindy, no worries...it all comes together!! :)
Thanks for such a great session! And I better hear that you have some new family pictures actually hanging in your home (no more empty frames). ;)
Enjoy your sneak peek...
Something about this one...and this one...I just LOVE them!

Kenny & Rebekah
Kenny and Rebekah's wedding was one that I had really been looking forward to. For one, their love for each other is just infectious and from what details I knew about the wedding day...it sounded amazing. And let's just say I was not disappointed!!
The weather was awesome (maybe a little warm though, right guys?),the wedding party was rockin' and the bride and groom were beaming. Love was definitely in the air for these two!!
Kenny and Rebekah thank you so much for letting me be part of your amazingly-beautiful special day! Thank you for letting me into your hearts and sharing the feelings and emotions of the day and trusting me with them. I was honored to be a part of it!
Enjoy your sneak peek...
Rebekah you are just stunning!Rebekah's dad was not able to attend the wedding, but through the wonderful world of technology he was able to watch his daughter's first dance and even participate in the father-daughter dance all the way from Peru.I love those candid moments! :)

baby Sami
Baby Samantha, aka "Sami", made her debut in this world just a little sooner than expected so that meant I had to wait a bit longer to get my hands on her. :) And once I did I didn't want to let go. What a little doll she is!!
Mom, dad and big sister were all on hand for Sami's first photo shoot so we made sure to make them a part of the fun. I love this family and am so happy to see it grow. :)
Thank you Lizeth for trusting me and letting me invade your home. Enjoy your little peek and there are many more coming your way. Here are just a few (and man did I have a hard time picking just a few) to hold you over...xoxo.
Big sister loves her so much!

Ahhh...that's all!
Ahh...that's all I can really say about this session. I love so many things about it. The family, the location, the love, the fun and that yummy lighting!! :)
As a photographer I feel my style evolving a bit and I thank the Rex family so much for letting me play with their session.
I hope that you all will still embrace and support me as I grow. Don't get me wrong, I still love my colors, but I'm adding a little more "earthiness" in the mix. :) I love what I do and hope that you will also! :)
Thanks for your patience guys...finally, your sneak peek!
